ADJD raises awareness of the importance of tolerance in the family life Abu Dhabi, 18 May, 2019 Within the framework of implementing the ambitious vision of the Judicial Department, The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, has organized an awareness lecture entitled " Tolerance in Family Life " as part of " Our Majlis" initiative aimed at spreading the legal culture and spreading awareness messages among members of the community in coordination with the Bureau of AL-Majlis (the Councils) Affairs, at the Diwan of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. This comes in line with the directives of His Highness Sheik Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Head of the Judicial Department, to achieve the strategic priority of contributing to maintaining security through sustainable participation with the components of the local and international community. The lecture held Al Wigan council in Al Ain, and addressed the importance of establishing the value of tolerance in family life, and the role it plays in bringing intimacy among family members so as to preserve their cohesion and stability and strengthening the role of the family in the promotion of tolerance and mutual respect. Dr. Turki al-Qahtani, Senior Family Counsellor in Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, displayed the rules of tolerance to be a reality in our life, by understanding and recognizing the tolerance, by passing mistakes and taking into account the circumstances of others and differences in the personal aspects, with acts of omission as a noble creation and the most we need between the couple to overcome a lot of differences. He also referred to the importance of the value of tolerance in cases of dispute between family members, as a successful means of attaining family safety and ensuring protection against the risk of behavioural or intellectual delinquency, which in turn reflected on all members of society. Dr. Al-Qahtani, went on saying that instilling the values of tolerance in the family is a good example, with the importance of performing the rights and duties between the two parties, and participating in their daily tasks and matters of their lives, since the marriage is a complementary and not competitive relationship, and the quiet dialogue and meaningful discussion between the spouses can avoid any problems. He mentioned that since its founding by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE has adopted tolerance as a method of coexistence among all members of UAE society, and the proclamation of 2019 is a year of tolerance, to entrench this approach, to spread the spirit of affection and harmony, especially in the family, so as to ensure the preservation, Continue and achieve happiness in its existence. At the end of lecture, participants valued the initiative of the ADJD, and its role in spreading awareness and legal culture, and achieving its usefulness, by focusing on the educational aspect of the topics and issues which affecting the society.
